91视频 University, in collaboration with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) of the Republic of Indonesia, hosted an anti-corruption dissemination talk show titled “Think Big, Act Right: Shaping a Young Generation with Integrity and Leadership to Build the Future.” Held as part of the implementation of the SINTESIS 2026 Integrity Action, the event took place in the *Ruang Bangsa* (Nation Room) at the Rectorate Building, Jimbaran Campus, on Thursday (September 17, 2026). The event featured speakers from the KPK leadership鈥擨bnu Basuki Widodo, S.H., M.H. (KPK Deputy Chair for the 2024鈥�2029 term)鈥攁nd a Professor from the 91视频 University Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. I Dewa Gede Palguna, S.H., M.Hum. (Chair of the Constitutional Court Honorary Council for the 2023鈥�2024 term).
The organizing committee chair, I Gede Karang Bagus Prema Thyaga, stated that amidst the nation’s current challenges, corruption is not merely a legal issue but also a matter of human values, character, and integrity. The focus lies on how to build a generation that possesses not only competence but also the moral courage to do what is right. This event serves as a forum for discussion, learning, and reinforcing the awareness that eradicating corruption is not the task of a single institution alone, but a shared responsibility among all elements of society, including the younger generation.
Meanwhile, the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Prof. Gusti Ngurah Alit Susanta Wirya鈥攔epresenting the Unud Rector鈥攏oted in his remarks that integrity is not simply a matter of distinguishing right from wrong. Integrity is the courage to persist in doing what is right, even when no one is watching and when doing the right thing is not easy. Students are the future leaders; therefore, integrity must be cultivated now, rather than later when they have already assumed positions of authority. 鈥淪tart with simple things: be honest in completing assignments, avoid plagiarism, refrain from manipulating research data, act responsibly within organizations, maintain transparency in managing activities, and have the courage to say no to improper practices,鈥� he said.
Do not wait until you become a leader to learn about integrity. Cultivate integrity within yourself now, so that when the opportunity to lead arises, you are ready.
He hopes this event will not merely serve as an awareness-raising session. More importantly, he hopes it becomes a catalyst for building a culture of integrity within the campus community and fostering the emergence of young leaders capable of acting as agents of change.
Ibnu Basuki Widodo, Deputy Chairperson of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), stated that the fight against corruption is not the sole responsibility of the KPK or law enforcement agencies, but involves all Indonesian citizens鈥攑articularly the younger generation. Surveys on corruption perceptions in education reveal ongoing misconduct鈥攕uch as plagiarism and the acceptance of illicit gratuities鈥攚hich must be eradicated early on to prevent such mindsets from taking root. Therefore, let us commit to practicing integrity from an early stage. Anti-corruption education has been integrated into primary, secondary, and higher education levels, as well as into mandatory curriculum courses; every campus is now required to include anti-corruption education.
On this occasion, Prof. Dewa Palguna emphasized that we must never tire of speaking out when we know a matter is important鈥攅specially when voicing the concerns of those who are rarely heard. We must remain courageous, for the worst outcome is succumbing to a sense of inadequacy or awkwardness when the state calls upon us, as citizens, to take action.
Through this talk show鈥攚hich brings together perspectives from academics, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), and SINTESIS alumni鈥攑articipants are expected not only to understand integrity as a concept but also to recognize the connections between values, systems, and concrete actions, and to apply these principles in their academic, organizational, professional, and civic lives.
