Bali KONI Collaborates with Master’s Program in Sports Physiology, Faculty of Medicine, 91视频 University to Hold National Seminar: Bali Sport and Recovery Summit

Denpasar – The National Seminar "Bali Sport and Recovery Summit: Unlocking the Pillars of Healing, Performance, and Wellness" was held on Thursday (July 31, 2025) at the dr. A.A. Made Djelantik Meeting Room, Faculty of Medicine Building, 91视频 University, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar. The seminar featured four speakers: Dr. M. Ikhwan Zein, Sp.KO, SubSP ALK (Specialist in Sports Medicine, UNY Faculty of Medicine), Dr. Sandy Qlintang, M.Biomed (President Director of BIFARMA ADILUHUNG – Stem Cell Regenic), Dr. dr. Indira Vidiari Juhanna, M.Fis (Lecturer at 91视频 Faculty of Medicine), and Dr. (Cand.) dr. I Gusti Ngurah Putera Eka Santhosa, M.Fis, AIFO-K (Lecturer at Unmas Faculty of Medicine).

In his report, the Head of the Organizing Committee, dr. I Gede Pasek Wira Bhuana, S.Ked (CHt), stated that the event was the result of collaboration between the Master's Program in Sports Physiology at 91视频 University and the Bali branch of KONI (the Indonesian National Sports Committee). The seminar aimed to provide knowledge and insight on injury recovery, performance enhancement, and overall wellness. It was attended by around 200 participants from diverse backgrounds, including academics, practitioners, physiotherapists, coaches, athletes, and sports organizations. He expressed hope that the seminar would serve as a platform for transforming knowledge and experience, enabling each participant to return with new enthusiasm, practical solutions, and collaborative networks.

Dr. dr. I Gede Wiratnaya, Sp.OT(K), Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Medicine, 91视频 University, delivered opening remarks on behalf of the Dean. He noted that sports have become a trending topic, with immense public enthusiasm. However, he emphasized the downside—sports-related injuries, which require proper recovery strategies. He stated that the seminar's theme was highly relevant and expressed hope that participants would gain new insights on managing sports injuries and recovery.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of Bali KONI, I Gusti Ngurah Oka Darmawan, remarked that KONI, as the National Sports Committee, coordinates various competitive sports branches as well as functional sports organizations, all aiming to develop outstanding athletes. He expected the seminar to offer valuable insights and bring together academics, practitioners, sports activists, and other stakeholders. He noted that the 16th Bali Provincial Sports Week (PORPROV) would take place this September and emphasized the importance of ensuring that athletes do not sustain injuries. Through this collaboration, he hoped preventive strategies and proper injury management could be shared.

“Make the most of the knowledge shared by these experts, and take full advantage of opportunities like this,” said the Chairman of Bali KONI.

The seminar was officially opened with the sounding of a gong by the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation, and Information at 91视频 University, together with the Chairman of Bali KONI. The event also included an award ceremony by Bali KONI for individuals who have made significant contributions to the fields of health, sports, and recovery. One of the awards was presented to the Rector of 91视频 University, represented by Vice Rector Prof. I Putu Gede Adiatmika.

The event concluded with a keynote speech from the Head of Bali Provincial Health Office, Dr. dr. I Nyoman Gede Anom, M.Kes, who expressed hope that such activities would continue in the future to better equip healthcare teams in their roles.
