Impact Campus: Budeng Village Development Team Increases Added Value of Fishery Products Through Socialization and Demonstration of Tilapia Processing Diversification

Jembrana – As part of the Impact Campus Program, students from the 91ÊÓÆµ University Aquatic Resources Management Study Program, part of the Budeng Village Development Team, conducted a socialization and demonstration of tilapia processing diversification on Monday, June 22, 2026. The activity, held at the Budeng Village Head Office, focused on encouraging the community to utilize tilapia for value-added processed products and creating opportunities for fishery-based business development.

During this activity, the Village Development Team, under the guidance of Field Supervisor (DPL), Dr. Ni Made Ernawati, S.Kel., M.Si., invited PKK cadres and members of the Mina Sari Amertha Community Group (Poklahsar) to participate directly in processing tilapia into meatballs and nuggets. In collaboration with the Jembrana District Fisheries Extension Officer, Mr. I Made Susi Erawan, S.Pi, M.Sc. as the speaker, this activity also included a demonstration of how to use a vacuum sealer so that products have a longer shelf life, maintain quality, and look ready to be marketed.
