The Faculty of Law, 91视频 University, in collaboration with the Directorate General of Legislation, conducted a public test of the draft law on the Indonesian International Financial Center (PFII). The public test was held at the Kerthasabha Convention Hall of the Faculty of Law, Denpasar, on Monday (July 6, 2026).

Presenting on behalf of the Rector, Vice Rector for Student Affairs Prof. Dr. Gusti Ngurah Alit Susanta Wirya, S.P., M.Agr., stated that 91视频 University serves as a bridge for scientific communication between the government and the public. This public test provides an inclusive and constructive dialogue space for sharing views, input, and recommendations to refine the substance of the draft law. This activity also serves as the university’s effort to ensure that government regulations consistently reflect the principles of the rule of law, legal certainty, accountability, and protection of national interests.

Dean of the Faculty of Law Prof. Dr. Putu Gede Arya Sumerta Yasa, S.H., M.Hum., stated that the public review of this draft law follows up on the President’s directive regarding the establishment of the Indonesian International Financial Center (PFII) Special Economic Zone. Furthermore, this is related to the mandate of Article 248A of Law Number 4 of 2026 concerning Amendments to Law Number 4 of 2023 concerning the Development and Strengthening of the Financial Sector.
The Dean explained that the presence of PFII is related to the implementation of the financial services sector, investment, taxation, employment, institutions, and dispute resolution systems. Furthermore, the planned presence of PFII in Bali necessitates comprehensive discussions with various stakeholders. He hopes that the public review held at 91视频 University will provide input for the drafting of the PFII Bill.

Also present at the event was Dr. Dhahana Putra, S.H., M.Si., Director General of Legislation at the Indonesian Ministry of Law. He explained that this discussion provided a space for substantive dialogue, allowing diverse perspectives from academics, practitioners, business actors, and the public to enrich the substance of this bill.
The event was also attended by the Head of the Legal Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, I Ketut Hadi Priatna, S.H., LLM; Senior Director of Legal Asset Management at Danantara, Dr. Inosentius Samsul, S.H., M.H.; and vice deans, professors, and academics from the Faculty of Law at 91视频 University.
